Marley's Story
During the Covid-19 pandemic in November 2020, Marley came to live with my husband and me. She forever changed our lives as the only pet and an inside kitten. She was five months old, a rescue by Sammy’s from an abandoned church feral colony in Little Fort. Within one traumatic week, Marley moved from the colony to a foster home to our home, underwent a spay, micro-chip insertion, tattoo, and received her first shots. For a couple of days, she was aloof and then calmed down. The following week Marley responded to her name, and came running when called. Her sweet, loving, and good nature helped her become a playful, inside, bonded member of our family.
She’s happiest when playing with people or by herself and when her family members are all in the same room. She responded well to having diverse sleeping and watching places within various rooms in the home, including her cat trees, chairs, couches, beds, and towels on the floor. Marley loves all her toys, especially her tunnel, laser pointer play, and soft little balls with which she plays fetch. She loves to watch birds flying around the yard and chirps loudly when close by the windows.
Marley is well-loved, responds well to her routine, and has easily trained us to her wants and likes. She is diplomatic, lovingly purrs, and cuddles us when it's time to get up in the morning to change her litterbox and fill her food bowls. Marley still tends to disappear when loud noises disturb her peace, sending her to hide from the vacuum and noisy vehicles. We love this sweet, precious little girl more than words can say.
THANK YOU SAMMY'S!
All of our lives are richer because of your work to rescue feral felines.
